Comforter

Thinking hard about something that is used a lot in life as a college student is past assignments and papers. Mainly papers that would never really be fatal if they were to be discarded. So I thought about making a sort of miniature, fluffy, and a piece that can somewhat bounce back buy filling a paper blanket with more paper that has been folded or crumpled up to provide the stuffing. Also using certain design or patter of different styles of paper to give a design to it. Then usually some comforters have a different front border or trim to it. So thinking of shredding some paper and adhering it to provide a fluffy front to add some more decor.

Project #3 (Grow): Research & Project Proposal

Research: In my research for this project, the approach is much different than that of the last assignment. This one will have us physically growing plants which prior to this project, I have little to no knowledge of growing anything. So on top of the research here for the artworks I will be looking at info for growing plants well. They will most likely all have slightly different needs, but that should not be hard to find specifics for each plant. Below I have listed all 3 articles that were research for this project. Research: During all this research the article Time/Bank: Time/Food by Julieta Aranda & Anton Vidokle is a topical article in this time due to it being closed or restricted due to covid-19. This could potentially be extremely damaging to people who had low income and this project was their way of scrapping by. Now there are no statistics to show if the pandemic has damaged this, but the idea of humans having to stay away from each other to not get sick must hurt this idea.  " Time/Bank is an international community of more than 1,500 artists, curators, writers, and others in the field of art who are interested in developing a parallel economy based on exchange of time and skills."
