Design Brief: Project 2

 

Problem statement: Book Project Theme & Composition

 

Problem description: Designing a book cover is a bit daunting because there seems to be so many more aspects that need to go into this to make it something good. Going through Pinterest and certain artists did help a lot though with the prior assignment

 

Target Audience: Thriller or mystery readers would be what I believe I think the covers will center around.

 

Goals:  The goal is to come up with 3 book covers and then go down to two final and most well formed picks. From there, do any steps to make them look better, and wrap it up from there.

 

Constraints:  It will actually depend on the artist that we pull from since there will have a distinct style, colors possibly and maybe certain organization.

 

Budget:  If this was to have any budget to it, it would be something that could get produced easily or in multiple styles. So keeping something consistent between them all will be important while fulfilling the projects word verse picture dominant requirement.

 

Deliverables: My main idea is to deliver covers that people will instantly know the genre. Though since this is covering murder, mystery, horror, and thriller. I think it has a wide range people can pull from to say during the critiques.
